When I was introduced to Paul Klee’s art work I was fascinated at its simple use of line. When I began studying with artist Fritz Faiss, I marveled at the linear charm of his drawings, upon which he informed me he had studied at the Bauhaus with Klee. Now every winter I revel with delight when these Klee-like plants appear in the snow beside my studio. I cannot help but wonder if Fritz & Klee ever came across similar plants during their winter walks together. True art of the earth, the prime realm of creation that inspires our cultural continuum and has provided me with dozens of images.
