In 2019, I observed a blooming demographic: Generation Z. I began exploring these individuals with a digital camera. I encountered a diverse, fluid and tolerant spirit amongst the individuals represented in this ongoing Los Angeles-based project. Digital photographic imaging enabled me to capture subjects in an efficient and timely fashion - I often approached them with immediacy. Digital imaging is also a reflection of Gen Z’s overriding access to photographs. A deadpan aesthetic enables the viewer to connect with the internal natures of the subjects.
