On the streets of Mumbai, child beggars have become a common sight. They are the unlucky ones. Many abandoned children often found in filthy gutters alone on the streets are luckier. They are taken to orphanages such as Shraddhamand Mahilashram, where they are nurtured by dedicated caregivers. Many find loving homes. The transformation from dire circumstances to a healthy environment is their salvation. But others are not as fortunate. These feral street children are abused, exploited and desperate. Ultimately they are shrouded in the pain of their existence, invisible, alone and anonymous.
