Mariupol, Vuhledar, Soledar, Bakhmut... These and hundreds of other towns and villages were destroyed in the Russian-Ukrainian war and remain under occupation. However, thanks to Google Maps, we can catch a glimpse of peaceful pre-war life. There we see unpretentious photos of streets and everyday life. There we can see cities from a bird's eye view, some calm and peaceful, and some already destroyed and mutilated (where satellites have already updated the cityscape). And we can only cherish the memories of the past and be horrified by the terrible picture we will see in the future.
