This series of photos showcases dragon boat racing in the form of tug-of-war, where two boats, facing each other, are attached by a rope. One team tries to push the boat forward, while the other team tries to row back in the opposite direction. The rower who maintains the head of the dragon is crucial in winning the race. The team pictured is from Hualien, Eastern Taiwan, the sudden rain and low temperature on the day of the race. The team of rowers were in sync in their minds, plus the undeterred determination of the dragon head rower, it defeated a dozen other teams and got victory.
