Bajiajiang is one of the folk beliefs in Taiwan. According to legend, it is responsible for catching ghosts and evil spirits. It also has the functions of relieving luck, praying for peace, and calming evil spirits. Because of its unique features, faces, costumes, and props, it presents a serious and shocking effect in street temple fairs.
