Art and Power is a series about the nature of technology and art. The focus here is on the first industrial revolution and the beginnings of mechanization and automation but with an eye to the technological revolution we are undergoing now. These images are inspired by the book The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction by Walter Benjamin. Some of the themes are how mechanization has changed Art and the way that Power has used technology to further its own interests.
