These images were taken on the Bras d'Or Lakes in Baddeck, Cape Breton Nova Scotia on 15 July 2023. I woke early that day with the intention to find the Solitude that I longed for. Nova Scotia sees many days shrouded in fog along the coastline and this day was one of those grey misty mornings that we often wake up to. This year has seen more foggy days then usual to be sure. When many others might wake up to a foggy morning and go back to sleep because the day looks dreary, I pack my jeep and head out because I find these mornings peaceful and quiet. I was alone that morning, it was peaceful.
