Chécheres is an aesthetic look at abandoned objects piled up in boxes and drawers as they regularly accumulate in homes. I present these objects in still lifes with a non-stereotyped composition inspired by disorder, contrary to classical still lifes in which objects are arranged harmoniously. Over time, the objects we acquire lose their attractiveness, utility or use value and become "chécheres"; a common phenomenon in modern society. When this happens, the objects are kept and forgotten. This attachment to possessions creates an emotional connection between individuals and their belongings.
