During the months of may & june 2024 The Popocatepetl volcano, an active stratovolcano located in the outskirts of mexico city, puebla and the state of mexico intensified its activity causing worldwide awareness. It is considered to be one of the most dangerous volcanes in the world due to its proximity to highly populated areas. During these days I had the priviledge of being able to be close to the cráter and experience this force of nature during a cold clear night. I call this a nomadic moment because it was powerful yet fleeting, it was contemplative yet I was aware of every sound.
