Light Pollution is a series of photographs that explores the idea of excess as well as needless man-made illumination. Some of the photographs contain objects that are purposefully illuminated, such as a tennis court or a billboard with an excess amount of light spilling onto natural foliage. Others depict scenes that are purely natural that represent the intrusion of man onto and into nature. My intention is to portray man made light as an alien, an intruder, into the dark night as well as to simply present the sheer isolation and loneliness of one streetlight.
