A native plant, the cranberry was found in the wild mainly in the wetlands of eastern North America and the state of Wisconsin long before industrial cultivation began. At the time of the colony, the Amerindians were already using it as a remedy to administer it to French colonists to cure them of scurvy. Thus, it is in the small town of Saint-Louis-de-Blandford that we find the largest cranberry plantation in the world. Jean Gaboury, Quebec City, Canada aerial photographer
