In Japan, the old engineers are recently retiring from the steel-making factories. It causes anxiety for the succession of their skills. Younger generation has to communicate with the elders closely. But there is a gap between the two generations, work-life balance. Today Japan is wandering and trying to grow out of the glory. I covered a symbolic city of rapid economic growth in Japan. In 1960’s a gigantic steelmaker was invited to set up its plant there. I embedded the found photographs of the city, taken in that period, beneath the present views. What is "the developing and the developed"?
