Zichronot includes photographs from the Concentration Camp Memorials. Drawing from a deep well of memory, previous work and generations of family archives, I began to experiment with the layering of personal imagery. With my own ancestral trauma fueling the flame, I worked rapidly, often from a place of sorrow, reinterpreting the past, creating divergent narratives. The excitement of discovery quickly turned to the realization that making these images was a gift beneath the wound. I no longer mourn for a few who share my family name, but for unseen millions I have adopted as my brethren.
