The concept of this project is deeply personal, inspired by a family member’s battle with dementia. I wanted to create a project to reflect this which led me to the use of LEGO® bricks. I partnered with world renowned LEGO® artist Nathan Sawaya who custom built the largest human organs made out of LEGO® with the Skull having just under 27,000 bricks and being over 3 feet tall. I wanted each organ to show that it was self regenerating, almost willing the diagnosis to reverse. The project took just over a year and 6 months to complete and is currently on display in Paris at Nathan's Exhibition.
