Dan Rubin This is a brilliant example of photographic trickery, using the print as part of the process. The surreal dimension this adds keeps me coming back to these images again and again.
In my “Sweet Illusions” project, I decided to look at compositions from a new angle for myself: to create a photo collage as an illusion, turning two-dimensional space into three-dimensional. Each work is a printed photograph of a food composition I previously created, the top of which I “finish” with real food details. With my works I want to captivate the viewer, make a puzzle, and play with imagination. I wish the viewer to be completely immersed into the image and get carefree joy that we feel being children and exploring the world around.
