This project took seven years of planning and eight months of training, all to spend five hours at the Edge of Space doing a photo shoot. In short, I got into a spacesuit, climbed into the back of a Cold War spyplane, and was chased beyond the atmosphere by a second Cold War plane to do the first of its kind of photo shoot. The altitude at which we conducted this is classified, but on record, I am allowed to say that it was over 70,000 feet away from the Earth. Just enough to see the curvature of our planet while being surrounded by the blackness of Space.
