Dan Rubin This is striking on multiple levels. On first glance — even after repeated viewings — I see a jellyfish, and only upon closer examination do the bodies make themselves known. Brilliant collage work.
The project explores the theme of life and biodiversity, focusing on homeostasis—the tendency of living organisms to maintain stability. The artworks feature beings from the animal kingdom Amorphea and are created using a manual collage technique, involving the cutting and recomposition of over 700 images. The manual technique, with its intrinsically imperfect nature, highlights the principle of evolution and biodiversity as the result of an endless series of errors and random variations. Similarly to cellular life, every new life is born from another one that preceded it.
