For ostracized populations across the globe and throughout history, stereotyping has proven damaging and at times even deadly. In my ongoing effort to dispel prejudices,I have spent my career investigating marginalized groups and the ways they cope with the physical and mental hardships that befall them. In Mis[s]understood, she aspires to uproot entrenched biases against Irish Traveller girls and women. They are not just a culture, but an art form that has been going on for centuries, sparking curiosity within me. Exploited socially and politically my project epresses dignity and humanity.
