On March 28, 2025, a magnitude 7.7 powerful earthquake struck Myanmar and affected neighbouring country Thailand, causing widespread serious damages to buildings and the collapse of structures, including an under-constructed skyscraper in Bangkok. It has taken more than 100 lives in Thailand and more than 5,000 in Myanmar, making it the most devastating earthquake for the two countries in modern history.
