Sayaka Ikemoto Impressive that the jellyfish is so ironically, mysteriously beautiful, emphasizing the warning and making it even more threatening. An ideal way to convey very important messages, with the aesthetic side of photography. Nice work based on experience and full technical abilities with an eye and sense of beauty. Can also see gentle and kind feelings to other living creatures as well.

Smacks of jellyfish are not new. Jellyfish are among the oldest animals in the ocean, and large blooms have formed for as long as conditions, currents, winds and tides have shifted them into place. What has changed is how often we are seeing them. Jellyfish are not villains taking over a healthy ocean. They are thriving because we have changed the oceans in ways that suit them: warm, nutrient rich, low oxygen waters, driven by sewage, runoff, overfishing and climate change. The ocean is communicating, the question is, are we listening?
