Sayaka Ikemoto Beautiful, peaceful, and attractive, seeming so easy, and may look like a common image, but a very difficult scene to achieve as said in the author's comments. For the reasons; first, you see nothing interrupting and disturbing in the background, in the sky, and on the ground. No trees, for example, or other things are standing out too much. The focus, exposure and composition is quite right and most of all, the giraffes are so natural and relaxed. Again, it is not at all an easy photo. The colors, very nice as well. Thanks for sharing this, and I also would like to have this on my wall if I could!
Good photography is a blend of preparation, skill, and pure, unadulterated luck. Many times all you can do is put yourself in a good position and hope that everything lines up. This evening worked out so well it almost felt like divine intervention. Like some mystical spirit of the universe wanted me to get this shot, the cosmos itself aligning to help me create the exact image I had imagined a thousand times leading up to this trip. I have no doubt that I will still love this photo 50 years from now, and will fondly look back on it as a cornerstone image of my career.
