Daria Bonera The originality of the subject immediately caught my attention. The photographic approach is natural, authentic, and editorial.
Living in Istanbul’s Silivri district, the Apak family has transformed their home into a shared living space with animals from different species they have rescued. What began nearly six years ago with saving a foal has grown into a way of life. Today, cows, donkeys, dogs, birds, rabbits and other animals live together under the family’s care. Their children actively take part in daily routines, learning responsibility and coexistence. This photo series documents a multi-species life shaped by empathy and shared responsibility.
