Alex Ng This is an exceptionally strong and accomplished photo essay. What impresses me most is that, despite containing eleven photographs, every image brings something different to the story. There is no obvious repetition and no image feels like filler. Each photograph has its own visual language, its own story and its own emotional weight, yet together they remain coherent as a complete body of work. The series moves naturally between intimate human moments, dramatic action, environmental context and the wider scale of destruction. Many of the photographs are strong enough to stand alone, with excellent timing, composition and storytelling. There are genuine moments, powerful emotions and a profound sense of tragedy throughout. Maintaining this level of quality and variety across eleven images is extremely difficult. This is not simply a collection of strong photographs, but a carefully constructed and highly professional piece of documentary photography and photojournalism.

These images document not only the ruins of cities, but the endurance of people waiting in food lines, searching for safety, and struggling to survive amid one of the gravest humanitarian crises of the 21st century.
