Michael Pritchard A strong documentary project - traditional perhaps - but beautifully executed. Each image works to tell a larger story, and raises awareness of shipyard, the working conditions and the men employed there.

In 2012, following my father’s path, I entered the Heping Island shipyard in Keelung as a coating inspector. What began as technical documentation became a profound turning point. Within steel confines, I witnessed the brutal reality of labor: the searing glare of welding and the suffocating dust of sealed compartments—invisible costs of industry. This shifted my lens from mere recording to contemplating the human price behind every hull. I seek to bridge the gap between perception and reality, giving voice to the untold stories of those who define this iron world.
