Patti O'Halloran Seperately, each of these images is a piece of art, balanced between dark/light, water/air, vertical/horizontal, heaven/earth. Together they tell a bigger story. The construct, the color pallete shared, but each structure has it's own life. I would hang any of these on my wall.
The work constructs a typological field in which repetition does not produce sameness, but reveals difference. Each image approaches similarity, yet never fully coincides, allowing existence to be perceived as a condition of subtle displacement.
