Shana Nys Dambrot Simply by a huge factor the most interesting, unusual, and yet clearly documentarian of all the live concert shots we saw. I feel like I was there. Excellent use of color and forced perspective in a perfect fusion with the music's special energy. Bravo.
This photograph was taken during Aviv Geffen’s annual Rock Ball, in front of a crowd of 60,000 people. At the height of the performance, with confetti in the air and the audience completely alive, he lay down on the stage and absorbed the moment. I saw it as a rare pause inside a huge explosion of sound and emotion: the second where the dream becomes real, and its weight finally lands.
