Momentum is a photographic project that investigates the athletic body as a space of tension between the instant and movement. Through the language of black and white, the images strip away the superfluous to focus on the structure of the gesture and on muscular tension. Basketball thus becomes a space for observing the body as a social and symbolic construction. The hands, a fundamental part of the human being, emerge as the fulcrum of the action.
