Daria Bonera Childhood is a subject that has been explored extensively, yet I find these photographs original, playful, and refreshingly spontaneous.
Since becoming a mother, my photographic practice has turned toward my own life. Living far from my home country and raising children in a life of constant movement, I am fascinated by how childhood memories and experiences of belonging are shaped through time and place. In watching my children grow and transform through their connection to nature, I explore the way to preserve somehow a sense of wonder and freedom. All images are made on medium-format and 35mm film.
