Night: strange and electric light dances on the banks of the river Nile, it sweeps through the modest suburbs of Cairo and Alexandria. A sublime detail, ramshackle building, improbable geometry and secret subject, not only tell a story but challenge the guises of photography. What is still life and how can we reclaim this ancient form of expression? These images slowly fade from reality into a dream, like the guests of a masquerade ball who pose for only one photo, before disappearing into the night.
