I don't merely look at flowers, I fall into them in order to cultivate a unique eye for "seeing" into the ethereal nature of flowers. It's not my intention to simply document flowers, but rather to pursue light and nuance, while capturing gesture and form. In doing so, I hope to reveal the hidden essence of the subject. Sometimes, the raw image alone doesn’t carry the feelings I receive from the subject. Therefore, I spend time and energy post-processing my photographs until they convey a sense of the spirit of the flowers. My images bridge the gap between photography and painting...
