I am a stay at home working mom which means my 3 year old son is with me in the studio and out. This means he finds his way into my work quite often. This portrait was taken in a quiet moment during one of his many nebulizer treatments for asthma. He was sitting on my work table next to a large window, quietly playing with the tubing connected to his mask. It's calm and beautiful but at the same time, as he turns away, I realize he won't be under my controlled care forever.
