In winter the plowed fields and weather conditions of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, Netherlands, the region where I live, reveal the nature of this sparsely populated rural area. We live here with the rains, winds, fog, sometimes sun or snow and overview the bare greasy clay fields or leveled farmlands with a little bit of grass. The few farms, small roads and vast vistas show a minimalistic beauty. In Clay Land I'm searching for the character of this land and our relation to it.
