REINTERPRETED Our culture is rife with contradictions about how we deal with sex, sexuality, nudity, and the relationship between these things and fine art. I find no more appropriate well from which to pull forth conversation than the great works of fine art nude painting. In this series, I have reinterpreted these works with contemporary ideas about body type, beauty, race, power dynamics, gender roles, and sexuality. Therein, I offer my involuntary collaboration with a number of great artists by updating their works via my photographic art.
