These photographs are a series from a larger body of work entitled “As it is here, so it is elsewhere”. This title is Sutra 3.14 from the Shiva Sutras, an ancient text of Kashmir Shaivism, stating that what is perceived “outside” is a reflection of the “inner state” of the viewer. These images are a visual expression my own inner states; yet I understand that the viewer’s experience of these images will reflect his or her own inner landscape and welcome that. These photographs are all taken from the air and are printed on cotton rag paper.
