Kevin O Connor A really clever concept and a beautifully produced series. The text and the images working so well together to get the message over. This is important work, it’s doing a job.

This series is simply gorgeous and makes me want to see more.

The Art of Disappearing tries to bring awareness of the languid evanescence of the Arbore tribe in Ethiopia where their last 2,300 members are currently living. The modernization of the roads and the easier access of visitors is changing their way of life. The series presented is a small part of a larger on-going work where the artist tries to reveal to the viewer the underlying threat that the Arbores are facing while they are adapting to this new situation. The text on the images is there to portray the conflicting points of view of the visitors and the locals.
