Silver Linings is a photographic series exploring the positives which have come from being in lockdown during the Covid19 Pandemic. The common expression "every cloud has a silver lining" means even the worst events or situations have some positive aspects. Isolation has created a situation where many families are connecting on a deeper level to what they were before. Quality family time, reconnection, living in the moment, slower pace, back to basics, the simple life; these are my silver linings during the ISO lockdown period.

Story

Silver Linings is a photographic series exploring the positives which have come from being in lockdown during the Covid19 Pandemic.

The common expression "every cloud has a silver lining" means even the worst events or situations have some positive aspects.

In May 2020 Sydney Morning Herald reported, a national survey of 1000 parents found one in five families are struggling to cope with the stress of COVID-19, the lockdown measures and the economic downturn, while 27% of parents are worried about their family’s mental health.

But the same survey, conducted by Catalyst Research for family wellbeing charity Uplifting Australia, suggests 43% of families are enjoying quality time together and using it to invest in emotional wellbeing. Meanwhile, 36% of parents said the lockdown was a chance for the family to function better together.

Isolation has created a situation where many families are connecting on a deeper level to what they were before.

these are my silver linings during the ISO lockdown period.
