Part of the larger Illuminating Cambridge Libraries series, these six libraries together form the quintessential idea of an old Cambridge library. They are: Perne Library at Peterhouse (1590s), Wren Library at Trinity College (1695), and four Old Libraries of Jesus College (early 1600s), Queens' College (1448), St John's College (1628), and Trinity Hall (1590s). The Old Library at Queens' College is the only one modified from its original state (to increase bookcase height). The photos are from a large series + monograph entitled Illuminating Cambridge Libraries, see www.sararawlinson.com.
