Glamour is a project that acts a love letter to the style of photography used to create portraits of American starlets from the 1930s to 1950s. Coming together with Designer Simone Contractor and using her trademark hand embroidered work we decided to bring this project to life by infusing it with the timelessness and cultural fluidity of the traditional Indian sari. For the hair and makeup we decided to go with a modern spin on the classic styles that Indian starlets sported in the same time period.
