Rong Jiang The photojournalist's project has captured images in DPRK that are both subtle and telling. It shows the undercurrent of that country that is unknown to us.

I’ve been in North Korea for 3 times so far, traveling from the capital Pyongyang to Kumgangsan mountain in the border of the North and South Korea, from industrial center Chonjin to coastal city Wanson, from special economic zone Rason to agricultural center Sariwan. Quiet changes were happening in the society which my project want to demonstrate, there were signs of capitalism such as free markets, trade fairs, and western culture influence. My project focuses on the life of normal North Korean people and the undercurrent beneath the changes in the Korean peninsula even the world.
