I was not asleep and I was not awake. After a time, deep in this place I found scenes I seemed to recognise, memories I seemed to own. Here was a city, but it was something more than this, a garden as well. No matter how far I walked, the paths never seemed to end. What was I looking for? I knew only that I was looking. Fear stalked me, though beauty appeared at every turn. The shadows only seemed to lengthen and deepen, until one evening in the dark, beneath tall buildings and the clouds of a rising storm, a light appeared.
