Twilight's Path is an ongoing project documenting wild places of the UK after nightfall. At night in a dark wood, one steps beyond the familiar trappings of human life and there is a powerful re-activation of childhood fears and wild flights of fancy - there is something almost regressive about the experience. There is a sense of unfamiliarity about the images; they present commonplace nature in a peculiar way. Artificial light brings a definition and mystery that is not available during the daylight hours.
