Tokyo is often associated with information, electronics, speed, precision, but also tradition and hospitality. While no single image can define it, isolating landmark buildings through the seasons revealed some of its contrasts and symbioses. By using a kaleidoscope adapter in front of the lens to take in more light, noise to blur silhouettes, and by focusing on shape over color, this series tries to invite the viewers into the constantly evolving, yet tradition-preserving metropolis.
