Kingfisher dives into the water to catch fish

Common Kingfisher (Alcedo atthis) is perfectly adopted to hunt from water. Kingfishers are gaining they prey almost entirely by diving into the water. All other aspects of its life is attached to the water or the bank beside water. This is a very important indicator species of healty ecosystem. Their permanent occurence is a sign of low- or not polluted water.
