The word "photography" etymologically means "writing with the light". However, I execute this "writing" with the shadow. In the shadow, things lose all the surface details and are cut down to the essential. And viewers, now free from every superficial distraction and teased by the reduced information, will get to see much more in the shadow: hidden nature of its bearer, the history behind it, unspoken emotions, etc… This series portrays the “world of shadows”, the very projection of the world we reside in, to bring out extraordinary sceneries hidden in the ordinary scenes, or jamais-vu (never-seen)s in the deja-vus.
