During the height of the lockdown in NYC, the streets and well known tourist locations were empty, so it seemed like a dark time. I'd taken a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge with the intention of photographing from it. One group of buildings that stood out were this little corner of apartment buildings with the quintessential water towers so common in NYC, and the World Trade Center looming over them. Shortly after, the light shined through, in what seemed like a fitting reminder that NYC is resilient because it came together after 9/11 and continues to do it now.
