Some days it seems that everywhere you look you come across images of the people of the tribes of the Omo Valley, usually presented against unnatural pitch black seas of nothingness, dressed in their most impressive clothes and jewellery, looking as they once looked 100 years ago. But in reality, these people are still trying to find a balance between the massive income coming from playing to the amateur photographers and evolving with the times without, at the same time, losing their cultural identity. It is a process which will define them - and us - for years to come.
