In 2018, Yemen refugees who arrived at Jeju island received massive attention and criticism from native South Koreans. After 2 years, Yemen refugees remain scattered throughout the country with negative opinions about them unchanged. How are their lives? What stories do they want to tell? What kind of thoughts do they have to share? Using polaroids to create collaborative portraiture, I listen to their words as they draw and write on the photographs. I hear their voices speak out and become one with the images as life pushes forward, evolves, and goes on.
