"Loss of Innocence: Children of War" is a recent series taken in a refugee camp in Idlib by 21-year-old Syrian photographer Ahmed Akacha. For several years, a war has been raging in Syria. Approximately 28,300 people are forced to flee their homes every day because of persecution and crises. The photographs are heartbreaking, sobering, beautiful and painful all at the same time as they highlight the loss of innocence of children growing up in a war zone.
