I am fascinated by the effect that family and childhood trauma has on our lives. I have witnessed relatives, friends, and myself taking these traumas and pushing them deep into a closet and using decor, fashion, and behavioral traits to deflect others from their insecurities or a troubling mental state. This tendency is fairly common and is often dramatized in television and film. For this series, I have been tackling this concept by photographing glamorous models in familiar and home environments with pristine attire.
